Every success has its secrets. We better achieve our goals by learning from others. Jamaicans can sit at the feet of this teacher. The world is doing so.  They have done it for Garvey,  Marley,


George Headley and others. But we have forgotten them quickly! Let it not be so.

This is one of the best summaries I have read about how the interests of big businesses, corporations, financiers and other special interests in an unbridled capitalist system can compromise  human well-being and democracy.


So we ask the question, “what is truth?”. What we see and hear in the media is not necessarily what we get. To believe and choose wisely we need to keep looking  beneath the surface by our own personal research and by depending on God’s guidance.


Empowerment and democracy begins with each individual asking the right questions and sharing responsibility for the right collective action.


 
 

We all need to be in touch with our ancestry which is a part of us. Let us celebrate the African-Jamaican arts and artifacts from our history.
