Usain Bolt: “Manners is the key thing”
There are a few things as beautiful as when one who is empowered, seeks to pass it on. The genius of Usain Bolt is that he not only inspires by excellence, but also by being an empowering athlete.
He sought to make people feel better about themselves and the joy of living. He gave himself, not just his performances. He loved us. “Manners is the key thing”.
Take others seriously. Let us pass on the empowerment.
Here is a story of a man now 105. He provides and example of certain principles of how prayer can have a role in one’s empowerment.
Mr. Higgins shares that in his earlier years he received healing from paralysis through prayer.
1.What could have aided his empowerment in that prayer, was that it included a commitment to serving God and others for the rest of his life.
2. Also, he sought to empower others psychologically and spiritually through sharing his experience and encouraging their own faith.
3. He continued with faithfulness in his altruistic life commitments, very likely contributing to ongoing health and longevity.
